Teletherapy information:

I only offer teletherapy sessions via video or phone for residents of Colorado. I do not offer any in-person services. My practice is Colorado-based, but I work remotely while traveling and am not physically located within the state for any local support.

For video sessions, I use an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom. It is available for use on phones, computers, and tablets. Please note that fast internet speeds are important for video sessions to be effective.

Fees:

  • My full fee for weekday appointments is $190 per 55-minute session or $285 per 85-minute session.

  • I offer a limited number of reduced-rate sessions. I do not currently have reduced-rate openings available for new clients. Please contact me for more information about these spots.

  • I typically see individual clients once a week or every other week for a 55-minute session, and I highly recommend 85-minute sessions for family therapy. The duration of your treatment and the frequency of your sessions will depend on your specific concerns and needs. I will also provide shorter or longer sessions upon request, with my hourly rate prorated in 15-minute intervals.

  • I require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session without being charged the full fee for your scheduled session.

  • Sessions scheduled outside of my standard business hours will incur an additional hourly fee.

  • These rates may change without notice.

  • Payment is due at the time of service, to be paid by the end of the session. I accept all major credit cards, and payments are processed through Ivy Pay, a HIPAA-compliant payment processor that stores your card information securely on file. You may also be able to pay for services with a Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Accounts (HSA) card.

Insurance information:

I do not accept, bill, or work directly with any insurance companies (including Medicaid). For clients who wish to use their insurance and seek direct reimbursement, I am considered an “Out of Network Provider." I am able to give a detailed receipt so that you can submit a request for direct reimbursement from your provider. Any other forms for insurance must be managed directly between you and your provider.

Please note that I am NOT a Medicaid provider. Unfortunately, Medicaid clients are required to be seen by Medicaid providers. In Colorado, Medicaid is called Health First Colorado. With Health First Colorado, you belong to a regional organization that manages your physical and mental health care. For a list of Medicaid providers, contact your regional organization for their current network of providers. Here is a list of the Health First Colorado Regional Organizations for additional support.

Every medical insurance plan and provider is different, so I encourage you to contact your provider prior to starting therapy to learn more about the specific reimbursement procedures for your plan.

Good Faith Estimate:

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises, call HHS at 1-800-985-3059, or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.

Business hours:

My business hours are by appointment only. I typically offer appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays between 9:30am and 5:00pm. Sessions scheduled outside of my standard business hours incur an additional hourly fee.

Accessibility:

My first-session paperwork for clients is completed through Sessions Health, a practice management software.

All services are currently provided through teletherapy, by video or phone. I use an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom for video sessions, available through an app on your computer or on your phone or tablet.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further accessibility questions or concerns.
